Bajaj-KTM Bikes are coming in Indian market by the year 2011. It launches two sorts of bikes sharing same type of engine with different style. The first 125cc bike named ‘Stunt’ and another bike is named as ‘Race’. After 12 months, Bajaj will launch and showcase the bike first at its Chakan plant near Pune. At the end of current year, this new bike will be launched in the European market.

Bajaj has sign partnership agreement with KTM both the companies will do the business in the Indian market at the global level. In India, Bajaj is going to launch a variety of bikes in 125-250cc segment which will be dynamic in the global market.

Planning to launch of Bajaj-KTM bikes is in very high performance. Bajaj-KTM will be supplied to premium segment as their range of “RE” passenger vehicles will have a monopoly brand in the three wheeler space. Rajiv Bajaj, MD of Bajaj Auto said, “From 2012 onwards whatever vehicle we will built would be three generation ahead of us from what we have today. That means not only better interiors but also new set of engines and transmissions as well.”

BAL said, “Bajaj will distribute KTM products in India and in markets like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Africa.” In this venture, Bajaj has a 35% share and 65% are of KTM. The development was confirmed by him and he also said, “Yes, we are working with KTM to develop a bike which will be rolled out in Chakan. The kits are likely to be imported from the Austrian bikemaker’s plant and assembled here.” After saying this, he didn’t give more information about these bikes.

According to KTM spokesperson, “KTM continues to focus on innovative products for the future and has already made a step forward with the introduction of the Zero Emission Motorcycle (freeride). The series production of small-engine street models (125 ccm), which were developed in cooperation with Bajaj Auto Ltd. is scheduled to be launched at the end of 2010. In the future KTM will focus on new markets, in particular emerging markets, which have not yet been entered, especially Brazil.”
